Charitable ActivitiesEight to Follow competition – Racing Welfare

Each year since 2012, Qatar Racing has run an Eight to Follow competition in aid of Racing Welfare.

Thanks to the generosity of Sheikh Fahad and his brothers, the competition has a first prize of £10,000 and all the proceeds go to Racing Welfare.

Every penny from every £10 entry fee goes to the charity and the entrant who picks the eight horses from under the Qatar Racing umbrella to score the most points during the season wins a £10,000 first prize.

The competition has its own bespoke website ( on which entries can be made online and all participants receive updates on their horses and how they are getting on.

The Qatar Racing Eight to Follow runs from QIPCO 2000 Guineas day at Newmarket through to QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot.
