The Goffs London Sale, in association with QIPCO, is a bloodstock sale held in central London on the eve of Royal Ascot.
The sale takes place at The Orangery, Kensington Palace. The auction lots are comprised of a combination of high-class breeze-up horses and a selection of horses in training, many of which hold entries for Royal Ascot races.
With a central London location on a June evening the intention is to attract new customers to the sport with the prospect of possibly owning a Royal Ascot runner that week.
The highlight of the inaugural 2014 sale was the mare and foal put up for auction by Qatar Bloodstock. The colt foal was by Frankel and became the first foal by Frankel to be sold in public. Together the mare and foal sold for £1.15 million.

“We support initiatives which help take racing to a new audience. A central London sale on the eve of Royal Ascot when so many people are in the city for the racing seemed to make complete sense and it would have been opportunity missed not to help make it happen.”
