Qatar Bloodstock is a subsidiary of QIPCO and represents the thoroughbred bloodstock interests of the brothers who own QIPCO.
The company was established in 2010, following the purchase of Makfi, and the operation currently stands stallions in Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand.
Qatar Bloodstock’s headquarters is Tweenhills Farm and Stud, Gloucestershire. In 2017 Tweenhills is standing the Qatar Bloodstock stallions Charm Spirit, Harbour Watch, Havana Gold and Hot Streak.
Under an arrangement with the Aga Khan Studs, Qatar Bloodstock also stands stallions in France at Haras de Bonneval, Normandy. Prior to being sold to Japan ahead of the 2017 covering season, Makfi stood in France for two seasons and Charm Spirit will return to France in 2018.
In addition, Qatar Bloodstock is a part owner of Champion Australian sprinter, Zoustar, who stands at Widden Stud, Victoria. Qatar Bloodstock’s European based stallions also shuttle to the southern hemisphere.
Qatar Bloodstock’s band of broodmares is predominantly based in Britain at Tweenhills, with some mares also in France, Ireland, USA, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
